The register holds millions of businesses, but the raw extract is a firehose of XML that's hard to search and harder to match against. We make it usable: a fast directory, name-to-ABN matching that copes with real-world spelling and trading names, a labelled industry the register doesn't publish, and an API to run it all at scale.

Every record traces to the Australian Business Register bulk extract, published by the Commonwealth under CC-BY 3.0 AU. Identity, status, GST and location come straight from the register.

Refreshed weekly

The ABR publishes a fresh extract each week; we ingest it and rebuild the search, matching and trend data so what you query reflects the current register.

Official vs labelled, clearly marked

Register fields are shown as-is. Industry (ANZSIC) isn't published by the ABR, so it's labelled with a confidence score and always marked as a prediction, never as official data.
